PSP Downloads

The Sony PlayStation Portable gaming system is proving to be very popular, not only because of its advanced gaming abilities, but also due to the fact you can do so much more with it besides playing games. The console can also be used to play music and movies. The least expensive and quickest way for you to use the PSP, as a multimedia platform, is to download files from the Internet. However, as with any download from the Internet, one has to be very cautious what you are downloading and from what site. The last thing you need is to find a flashy download site, advertising instant free downloads, and then end up downloading a whole bunch of spyware and viruses with the media file. Not only that but these dodgy sites will have restrictions on download speeds, with you having to wait hours for the download to be completed.

Fortunately there are legitimate download services which provide downloadable media files with no spyware and no restrictions on download speeds. There is an inexpensive, once-off fee to access such sites and from there on you can download unlimited music, movie, game, TV show files and much more. Once you have paid the registration fee, that's it - no monthly fees or pay per download nonsense! If you do your math you can soon work out the savings of using one of these downloads sites compared to buying PSP games and movies at local or online stores. Your savings can be thousands of dollars if you are a really dedicated game, music and movie fan. Another great advantage with these PSP Download sites is that you have instant access to newly released games and movies, giving you the edge over your friends.

Users of reputable PSP download services are impressed with the ease of use and fast download speeds. On average, a game or movie, takes less than an hour to download. Some services provide game cheats, for popular games like Harry Potter, Sims, Armored Core, etc. for no extra charge. Remember to always check whether the PSP download service you choose has a full money-back guarantee. This sorts out the legitimate sites from the bad ones and if you are not fully satisfied with their program you will quickly have your money refunded without any hassle.

I have provided you with a link below to a great PSP Download Site Review page which gives you the features offered by the most popular PSP download sites.

Video Game Tester - Shocking Fact, You Don't Work At Home!

Game testers have this crazy notion that you can earn money testing video games without even leaving your house. This can be understandable due to the fact that every piece of information available to aspiring video game testers is just a bunch of lies and scams. That's right, this way of thinking has been brought about by lies. As a tester, you do not work at your own house.

So there's a shocking fact, you don't work at home. Testers actually have to go to a company associated building and test out the games there. They might let you have the game when they're done testing it, but you won't be able to take it home. The only times I've ever seen a video game tester get to take home work is when they're sick for more than months and the companies set them up themselves. So then, why do companies have their video game testers come to them?

  • If they send games via mail like the boogus programs say they will, they'll be risking the chance of having you copy and redistribute the game. You might be the most trustworthy guy in the world, but if the company is risking a future profit of more than a million dollars, why should they risk something so big?
  • They might run the risk of getting the game lost in the mail or having it misdirected to another location entirely. This happens often with mail, and if someone see's that they have just recieved starcraft 2 and they are video game lovers, do you think that they'll return it?

Gaming companies are tremendously smart, and so they take the most slightest precautions so as to not lose tons of money. So if you wish to become a tester, than you should know that you won't be testing the games in your home.

Get the only ecourse that tells you how to really become a video game tester, no lies or scams, by clicking here now!

Broadband Online Gaming

Visit exotic new places and exciting new people from around the world! Welcome to the world of online console gaming.

Gone are the days of only being able to pit your racing, fighting or shooting skills against the artificial intelligence of the game, or the skills of your close friends. Nowadays, broadband can offer you the opportunity to compete with other players around the world, chat with your allies and enemies, and even see your name on high score tables worldwide. Also a great feature allowing you to download extra levels and other content for your favourite games, or even entirely new games.

Xbox live, PlayStation and Nintendo Wii all offer tremendous online facilities for console owners, and broadband supports all three.

Setting up broadband couldnt be easier.

There is several ways that your consoles can be set up to broadband internet. Many consoles have a wireless kit, where you can setup your online gaming wirelessly, for example: You have your
phone socket, with a filter plugged in, so you can have your home phone and also a wireless router plugged in at the same time. With your games console you will have a wireless games adapter or this will be built in the console, so your broadband signal goes from your wireless router to your games console without the need for wires. If you dont have a broadband wireless starter kit with your console, these can be purchased at high street and online electronics or games shops.

Choose your broadband provider to enable you to play online games and compete to be world champion of your favourite games. Broadband online gaming is a fantastic new experience.

MMOs Are a Breath of Fresh Air

When you look at MMORPGs they all feel so similar. I already wrote an article about how all MMORPGs are the same, and I'd like to be a bit more positive this time around and write about MMOs. Unlike MMORPGs, MMOs all feel unique, as they are all incredibly different. For all of you that don't know the difference between MMORPG and MMO, it's simple; MMORPGs are role play games, while MMOs are everything else where you don't have to run around killing monsters to level up. If you still aren't sure what the difference is, games like GunZ: The Duel, Shot Online, Richman Online are MMOs while games like MapleStory, 12Sky and Fly for Fun are MMORPGs.

MMOs are more unique than MMORPGs simply because they cover so many different genres. While MMORPGs are very similar games like Shot Online, a golf MMO, and GunZ: The Duel, a fast paced shooter, are completely different. I recently played Combat Arms, a first person shooter MMO by Nexon, and absolutely loved the game. Unlike other MMO Shooters, Combat Arms felt very polished and balanced. Although Combat Arms is a first person shooter like a lot of other MMOs, the game felt distinctly different.

Even though MMOs do overlap themes often, they are rarely as similar as MMORPGs are. Games like WolfTeam and Combat Arms are both first person shooters, but they're not similar at all, as in WolfTeam, the game allows players to transform themselves into a werewolf that specializes in close combat fighting, which adds an entirely new layer of game play. Most MMORPGs don't have these sort of major differences, but rather have only extremely subtle differences. There are simply so many different MMOs out there that all play extremely different from each other.

If you're tired of playing MMORPGs but like the RPG / Leveling up elements of those games, I strongly recommend you try out some MMO games. Odds are you've never played a basketball MMO before, so why not try it out? FreeStyle: Street Basketball is actually a great game. It's fast paced, balanced game play and 100% free. I recently played an MMO called "Richman Online" and the game was pretty impressive, as the game combined board game style game play with the RPG elements, making the game incredibly unique. I believe that MMORPGs can be just as unique as MMOs, but developers today simply aren't willing to take risks and develop a new type of MMORPG.

How I Got Into the Game Industry

Not long ago, I was a starry-eyed kid who wanted to make video games for a living. I grew up with Mario and had every Nintendo home console from the Super NES forward. I was even one of those entrepreneurial types who made fan sites. It started simply with AOL's free web space and then grew slowly to other free web space sites until finally a domain of its own. That site was known as The N Chamber--guess what the N stood for--and at one point Google had listed us first for the search phrase: "Nintendo dolphin." Those were certainly good times but unfortunately our web presence was connected with eFront and their scandal brought everything to a fiery collapse.

At this point I was maybe 14 or 15 years old developing websites and offering my "opinion" on the industry news and with game reviews. To think that anyone seriously listened to what I had to say is laughable to me today. But, I was a fan and I loved the industry--if nothing else, I learned a lot about web development and the game industry. After the eFront meltdown, I was still active in the game fan site arena and worked on a few more websites before I finally called it quits. I tried to resurrect The N Chamber on numerous occasions but, it was not the same for a variety reasons including Google no longer listing us in a favorable search position and realizing it was futile trying to compete with the likes of IGN or Gamespot--blogs were not a big thing yet. Nonetheless, I worked on multi-platform gaming websites--GamerPlay/WiredPlay--and although they didn't get very far, I learned a lot of PHP and MySQL programming as I was bent on creating my own content management system.

I was probably 16 or 17 in the end days of my fansite years. I had still not actually made a real game yet. I tried learning C++ on my own but, that never got too far. In my last two years of high school, we had majors. I had picked the Computer Science major and it was there that I really learned how to code. I took C++ and Java as well as Web Design--which was cake for me--and a computer architecture class--didn't care for that class and still don't. Luckily, my programming classes were not super strict so we got to create games for our projects. Programming anything else would have just been ridiculously boring. My first "games" were generally crappy ASCII graphics experiences but, I had a blast. We made a really dumbed down ASCII "Final Fantasy" like RPG that had one level in my first semester. In the second semester, we did some card games but, the project I was most proud of was an ASCII version of Defender. It only had one level as well but I managed to figure out how to have the game scroll so enemies would come towards you while you moved your plane. We figured out how to use color and sound. It was the biggest game I had ever made at the time--and I thoroughly loved it.

Come senior year of high school and senioritis was totally setting in. No one wanted to do any real work. Outside of my programming classes, I just got my B's and was plenty happy with it. But, in my Java class, it was more game making. We did some crappy projects that was supposed to teach us what we needed to know for the Advanced Placement exam but for the final projects, we could do whatever we wanted. I made a version of Missile Command in my first semester. With Java, we could more easily use windows, draw shapes, and import images so this was the first game I had made that wasn't in ASCII. If I were to look at my code for that game today, I'd probably cringe in pain but, I loved it then. Each game that I did pushed the bar a little higher so for the final project of my last semester, I attempted to recreate Super Mario Bros. it was the best looking game that I had ever made because I basically took the graphics off the Internet. The performance was not so hot but I still loved doing it. Mario moved, jumped, stomped and all that and the enemies moved and the screen scrolled but, it was all imperfect--I did the best I could.

Upon graduating high school, I received the gold medal in Computer Science for the class of '04. I wasn't the best programmer--I might have been the best Computer Science student grades-wise. It was probably a mixture of the image that I had created of myself and the grades. It was all about marketing which, ironically, is the major I settled on in college. The first college that I chose to attend was the University of Advancing Technology in Tempe, Arizona. They had a game design program and was probably one of the best schools for that at the time. There are all kinds of schools that have game design programs today. I took some game related courses and because it was a multimedia major, I also took classes in Photoshop and Illustrator as well as XHTML.

Being the go-getter that I am, before I started my college career I got an internship over the summer with a game company in New York--my home. I tried contacting every game company in the city that I could find and only one ever got back to me--Black Hammer Game. All I did while I was there was test a game: Supremacy: Four Paths to Power. It was a turn-based strategy game and I am not a big fan of those types of games. I didn't really learn too much and there were other issues going on with the game but, I did meet Nikita Mikros--who happens to be my boss today. So the summer ended, I got something nice to write on my resume and off to college I went.

Everything was new and nice in Arizona. It was a different environment than NYC and it was college. I did pretty damn well in my first semester maintaining a near 4.0 GPA but, I did not end up staying and finishing my degree in game design. I transferred back to New York where I went to school for business. Pretty crazy choice considering how much I loved games, right? Perhaps. I really didn't think that I needed a game specific degree to make games and considering what I am doing today, maybe I was right.

The day I got back to New York, I was scheduled to appear in a meeting at a company that my friend worked for--they needed a programmer and apparently I could program. This was a company that did web-based programming work so that was what I did. Luckily I had the knowledge from all the days I spent working on those websites. I worked there for a little over two years and it was, if nothing else, good experience and I improved my programming. I wasn't making games--though I tried to lobby for it--but, programming is programming. I still followed the news in the game industry and once or twice attempted to work on gaming websites again but, they fell pretty flat.

I left my job doing web-based work a little towards the middle of 2007 and started at a game company--Tiny Mantis Entertainment, founded by Nikita Mikros of Black Hammer Game. I had kept in some contact with Nik Mikros and did a small project for him but, that was about it. It was pretty coincidental that he needed a programmer and I was sick of my old job. So there it was, I was in the game industry. This isn't Electronic Arts and I'm not working on Halo but, I still love doing it a lot more than "web applications". In the year that I've been working at Tiny Mantis, I've done quite a few different projects--some of which aren't really games and some that will never see the light of day. I did the programming for Lil' Bush: Iraq Hero for Comedy Central, a Poker game for the France-based Boonty, and a sequel to an Ed, Edd, N' Eddy game for Cartoon Network. You might see some ad banners from Hyundai programmed by yours truly at some point in the near future as well.

Sometimes, I can't believe that I am doing what I am doing. Some kids wish to be an astronaut or something and then maybe they'll get there. I feel generally blessed that I'm able to get paid to do what I really want to do--make games. I can't say I want to be programming forever but I love the industry. I was interviewed by a high school student aspiring to get into games not too long ago. It reminded me of my own unmapped road and I was glad to be able to offer some insight. I don't know everything and I'm still "new" to the industry but, I hope I was able to offer him something. I didn't get to tell him my entire story as I have here and that is probably why I wrote this. This is my experience of how I got here. There are probably better ways to break into the industry and every year new people are working at EA, Activision, Midway, Nintendo, Microsoft, etc. I can only offer my story in hopes that other starry-eyed kids dreaming of working in the game industry can take away something from my experience.

LiveScience.com - A smelly rotten-egg gas in farts controls blood pressure in mice, a new study finds. The unpleasant aroma of the gas, called hydrogen sulfide (H2S), can be a little too familiar, as it is expelled by bacteria living in the human colon and eventually makes its way, well, out. The new research found that cells lining mice's blood vessels naturally make the gas and this action can help keep the rodents' blood pressure low by relaxing the blood vessels to prevent hypertension (high blood pressure). ...

Getting in Shape With the Nintendo Wii Fit

Video games have gotten a bad rap over the past decade. The rate that children are becoming obese is alarming so video games are one of the first things to be blamed. Children are spending more time inside then they are outside running around and playing.

If you have a child, teenager, or even an adult that is overweight I recommend the Nintendo Wii. It is a great way for those who do not like to get out especially in crowds like gyms to exercise. The Nintendo Wii Console is required to use the Wii Fit. It is not recommended for those over 300lbs due to the weight limit.

The Wii Fit allows you to save money rather than spend money on exercise equipment that most likely will not be used. Memberships to local fitness gyms are not needed as is a personal trainer. This is because you get to choose between a male or female virtual personal trainer on the Wii Fit. Once you have chosen your personal trainer, it will be time to move on to the balance tests, BMI testing and then your Wii Fit Age.

Step on the balance board to test your balance. Wii Fit tests your balance between your left and right sides. Most people are off balance and actually place more weight on one side. With the Wii Fit you learn how to become balanced. When finished with the balance tests, you move on to the BMI testing. Add your birthdate, height and weight (which the Wii Fit does for you) for a BMI result. Next you get to set your goal to either gain or lose weight within the amount of time you choose. Then the Wii Fit calculates your "Wii Fit Age" which is comprised of your balance test and BMI testing.

Get started with one of four categories: Yoga, Strength Training, Aerobics, or Balance. Demonstrations are done before the actual exercise or you may skip through it. As you attempt each exercise and successfully complete it you earn fitness credits and unlock new exercises.

After trying out a Wii Fit at my best friend's house, I decided to purchase one for myself and two of my three children. I am glad I made the purchase because I found out my 10 year old daughter is borderline towards being overweight. She loves using the Wii Fit, especially the running located in the Aerobics Section. This makes it great when the weather is not so great.

During the winter months it can be hard to get kids outdoors to run around and play. Using the Wii Fit indoors gets the kids and adults up exercising and staying fit. When it is raining outside kids want to get on the video games so having the Wii Fit is a great way to keep everyone moving around. Currently the Wii Fit is difficult if not impossible to find in stores. However, if you do your research you may find one for a reasonable price on ebay.

I highly recommend that if you have someone who is borderline to overweight whether they are a child or an adult that you consider investing in the Nintendo Wii Fit. This is one great way to get everyone up and moving around while staying fit.

Biometrics: The Future is Here, Biometric Technology has Arrived in the Security Industry

The future is here. Biometric technology has arrived in the home security industry, and we are excited to offer you the innovative Access Control biometric reader. In the old days, access to restricted areas was granted by metal keys and locks. Then technology progressed to ID cards and PIN numbers. But now you have the ultimate in access control.

What is a Biometric Reader?

Biometric comes from the Greek bios (life) and metron (measure). A biometric reader recognizes humans based on intrinsic physical traits. For example, a biometric reader can read eye retinas or irises, facial patterns, hand measurements or fingerprints.
Unlike keys, cards, or number sequences, access through a biometric reader cannot be transferred from person to person unless explicitly authorized.

How Does a Biometric Reader Work?

A biometric reader can be used as a stand-alone or a networked operation, perfect for home or office. An authorized person has their physical characteristic scanned and turned into a numerical algorithm which is then entered into a database. The authorized person must subsequently provide that same physical characteristic- for example, their hand, to be read and recognized by the biometric reader before access is granted.

Why Use a Biometric Reader?

A biometric reader is a more reliable security device than your average lock or keypad. Only the person authorized access can successfully pass a biometric reader. A key, card, or number sequence can be passed around or easily stolen. A biometric reader requires that the authorized person be physically present for access to be granted. Thieves and other criminals would have a difficult time getting past a biometric reader.

Other reasons to use a biometric reader:

1. It is affordable and user friendly, recognizing identity and granting access in less than one second.

2. Biometric reader can store information from 512 users (standard) up to 35,512 users (networked).

3. A biometric reader drives costs down while raising the level of security.

Biometric reader access control can be incorporated into your security system.

Who Was the First Person to Make a Video Game?

The absolute earliest and first game to be played on some type of a cathode ray tube, and use some type of computer, was a missile simulator type game played on circular screen that looked much like the old radar screens used during World War II. This game was created by Thomas T. Goldsmith Jr. and Estle Ray Mann in 1947. The creation of this game was significant because it marks the beginning of a new age of cathode ray tube and what they can be used for. Up until this point any display like this was simply used as something to be seen. With this game a player could look at it and make changes to what happened on it. It was interactive!

In 1952, what many consider to be the first graphical game was created by A.S.Douglas and it was a tic-tac-toe game called OXO. Over the course of the next two decades between the 1950's and 1960's a variety of other rudimentary games started to make appearances with the use of large computers that were tube based. One of the most notable was the game Tennis for two which was created by William Higinbotham in 1958. This game was played on an oscilloscope display.

Video games start to become more sophisticated and take on more realism in the 60's and the first game to do this was a game called Space War. It was created for a Digital Equipment Corporation computer and it was two spaceships (players) that engaged in a shootout on a starry background. One of the significant things about this game was that the ships were in a gravity well that affected how they moved and how the player had to operate them. This game has been recreated and copied in many different arcade and home versions like Galaxy Wars and in variations like Asteroids.

The First Publicly Released Game

The first game released to the mass public was called Computer Space. It was based on the Space War game and it was a coin operated arcade style game created by Nolan Bushnell and Ted Dabney. It was released in 1971. And in 1972 they released the arcade game Pong which was a big success. These games were the beginnings of the Atari Company.

Video Games Move onto the home Television Set

The very first console video game system that could be played on a television set at home was the Magnavox Odyssey. It was designed by Ralph Baer and it was first released to the public in 1972 and It only met with limited success. In 1975 the real revolution in video games for the home began with the release of the home version of Pong by Atari. Atari landed an exclusive contract for 175,000 units with Sears who would market it and sell It in their stores. The game was a smash success for the 1975 Christmas season. One of little thought about revolutions about this game was that all the discrete wiring was designed into a single chip which was the most advanced consumer electronics chip ever made until then. This opened up a whole new world of computer games.

Video games have had an interesting history with a lot of different people contributing to their success. They have come a long way and there are no doubt many more interesting and exciting developments to come.

Game Basics - How to Play Word Games

Word games are an exciting venue for gamers with potentially endless possibilities when it comes to providing you with an intellectual outlet for having fun. When looking for a fun word-based game that thrives on challenging the creativity of its players, you will find that games such as, Scrabble have come to be known as one of the smartest word type board games available today. By challenging you to think outside the box and form words using only a small selection of randomly chosen letters, this intellectual board game presents a cranial challenge that few other games can provide. Word games are one of the best ways that you can both have fun and still exercise your brain. These types of games are very easily easy learned but can still provide a challenge for even the most expert players.

Many word games such as Scrabble are designed for two to four players seated around a board, that in many cases is designed, with making words as its main objective, Scrabble in particular has a number of blank spaces to hold lettered tiles. Some of the spaces on the board have special colors and markings, which can grant extra points to the player who first lays a tile on one of these spaces. The game begins by each player drawing seven different tiles out of the cloth bag to form their base of letters. With these seven letters, you will form the words, which will score you points on the game board. The player who goes first starts by laying down their first word on the board, using the exact center space of the board, which is generally marked with a star. This player will then score points based on the numerical values on each lettered tile along with any specially colored spaces on the game board, which denote extra points opportunities. At the end of a turn, the player will then pick new tiles out of the bag to return their number of tiles to seven.

Play then passes to the next player and you continue this routine, playing tiles and scoring points, with the simple exception that any new tiles placed on the board must be connected to a word already set, branching off one of the letters of that word much like a crossword puzzle. The game play will continue in this way, placing tiles and replacing letter tiles, until the cloth bag is empty. At this point, all players are stuck with the tiles left in their hand and the game continues until one player has successfully used all of the tiles in their hand.

At this point, the game is considered over and you will tally up all of the points in each player's hand. Any tiles left in the hand of any players will be subtracted from their final score and added to the score of the player to first use all of their tiles. Once you calculate the final scores of all players, the winner is declared. As is demonstrated, the winner is not the first person to simply use all of their tiles, although this can provide a great advantage. The player who chose the best tiles and who figured out the best way to use them on the board is the one who wins, giving you the chance to determine your own fate in this exciting game.

The public knows Scrabble as one of the most intellectual but still fun games available today. If you were looking for a stimulating challenge that doesn't take too much effort to learn, Scrabble would be a great place to begin. Good for children and adults alike, Scrabble can give you the mental boost that you are looking for. Another great word game played in the same vein is Upwords, where you will find that it also uses tiles that you must make words, with a few differences. Both bring you all the mind boggling excitement that you can only get from word games.

PC Games - Sorcerian

The year was 1987. Japan was trying to cash in on the PC game market. In an attempt to do this, they exported one of their more popular arcade games into PC format. Because of this, the game itself, Sorcerian, plays more like an arcade game than a PC game. This doesn't make the game itself bad, just very different.

The game itself is very interesting in many respects but because of its flaws, the game can become very dull very fast.

Let's begin with the more interesting aspects of the game. Sorcerian is a game where you create the characters from scratch. These characters not only have certain powers and abilities, such as fighter, cleric and wizard, among others, but each character can have a different race and profession. The characters actually age, progress in knowledge and levels and eventually die. This makes the game very interesting as you attempt to build your characters as strong as possible.

The game is also very different from many other PC games in that it has multiple scenarios. Each one of these is like a separate game unto itself. Solving one scenario has no effect on any of the others, other than to increase your characters' levels and skill abilities, along with their age. It appears after completing each scenario your character will age one year.

The scenarios themselves are fairly interesting but there doesn't seem to be any connection between them. This is one of the game's flaws. Plus, you can do each scenario as many times as you want. Some of them are so easy to begin with that eventually your characters will become so powerful that nothing can stop them. This is another one of the game's flaws in that eventually it can become rather dull to play when the challenge is gone.

The look of the game itself is rather odd. The characters are extremely small and don't look anything like real people. They follow each other in a line in an almost comical fashion. When one character battles, they all battle. There is no way to separate their actions. You can equip them with a variety of weapons, however. You can use spells, some of which are very powerful, especially in the upper levels.

The game comes with a very interesting and beautiful musical score. This is actually one of the high points of the game itself, since the graphics of the game leave a lot to be desired. Of course considering when the game itself was made, they're not too bad. Just don't expect too much.

The game is very old, so don't expect to be able to play it on the newer operating systems. Anything past Windows 98 is probably going to crash and burn. The game comes on floppy disks. Yes, we're talking very old.

In spite of the flaws, there is a charm to Sorcerian. The characters are so cute when you view them in their inventory screen. There is enough to do besides fighting, such as training, buying items and other odds and ends. If you can get around the challenges becoming too easy as you progress, this is actually a very enjoyable game.

All you have to do is find a computer to play it on.

The new research found that cells lining mice's blood vessels naturally make the gas and this action can help keep the rodents' blood pressure low by relaxing the blood vessels to prevent hypertension (high blood pressure). ...

On Final Fantasy VII - Crisis Core

If you're thinking about buying or downloading crisis core, spend no more time on the matter because it is worth it.

I have always been a fan of the series however I have learned to hold back my joy until I have my dirty little hands on the game and know it is a winner. While Square-Enix has released a host of terrific games, there have been some that are less than stellar to be sure.

Action:The game is certainly long enough, however it is an action RPG, so if that turns you off, it may not be the right game. The battle system was actually lacking a bit. Most of the first half of the adventure is hack and slash and the second half involved staying alive long enough to cast the powerhouse spells, pray for the right limit breaks, and fuse materia until your eyes are bleeding.

Story: Final fantasy storylines usually are fairly amazing. This one is no exception. Probobly the best feature of the game, the story got into the heavy issues of notions of god, man vs. machine, genetic modification, jealously, anger and all of the other subjects that make a person keep reading. This is bar none the best aspect of the game because it fills in many of the blanks left by the notorious Final Fantasy 7. This is enough reason alone to buy the game.

Graphics: Terrific. Enough said. I was blown away and for the first time, really saw the power of the PSP engine. You are treated to stunning summoning visuals, great in-game cutscenes and a very decorated enviornment to play in. There is a good deal of eye candy to be seen here.

Replay value: High. New game plus allows the player to go back and pick up all the goodies they missed out on. Without a strategy guide, it would be pretty easy to miss a good portion of the game and there are enough secrets to unlock that it gives the player plenty of value.

Overall, the game was very good. I give it an 8.5/10. It would be higher but for the somewhat boring and random combat system.

WoW Gold Tips - Making Gold in WoW Through Different Professions

In World of Warcraft, there are three primary professions. You are only able to choose two of these three, however, so it is worth comparing them in order to pick what profession you will leave out. To help you make that decision here is a summary of all three.

Gathering Professions:

Mining: This type of profession mines for various items around the world. It is one of the most common professions and is popular among new players, as you can use it to make gold right away.

Skinning: This profession uses a tool called a skinning knife to kill various monsters (beasts) in the game for valuable items such as leather. This is good if you want to do leather working, and is profitable when you combine it with mining.

Herbalism: Herbalists make potions by gathering different types of flowers. This is also a useful profession, but is much more powerful when you reach a higher level, as you can then make more valuable potions.

Crafting:

Blacksmithing: Blacksmiths are able to make in-demand items used by many characters such as daggers and swords, as well as things like plate armor. This is not as profitable as some of the mining professions but is still valuable if you need melee weapons for yourself.

Leatherworking: Leatherworkers can craft leather and various mail items. This is useful if you are in a guild, because it can increase the group's power. You can also use armor crafted to give yourself a better defense. It is similar to blacksmithing, and is not particularly profitable. However, it is very useful if you need leather equipment.

Tailoring: Tailors can make things like storage kits and patches that you can use on your character to get to a better level and increase your power. They can also create rare items, which can make this a more profitable profession than blacksmithing or leather working.

Alchemy: This is the knowledge of creating items such as potions, and will also allow you to transmute elements such as metal. Like tailoring, this can be quite profitable, but you will need to have the Herbalism profession in order to support this properly due to the reliance on potions.

Engineering: This is actually the least profitable profession, and you won't make a lot of gold by being an engineer. The profession allows you to create unusual weapons against monsters, but you are unlikely to be able to sell these for lots of gold at the auction house.

Service professions:

Jewelcrafting: Jewelcrafting is one of the newest professions, and allows you to mine raw gems that you can cut into gems for a power increase. Because jewels are highly in demand right now, this can be a profitable profession, but you will need to have the mining profession to properly gather items.

Enchanting: This is only useful if you are a high level player, and is expensive to do. Enchanters are able to enchant a players equipment to give it a raise in power.

Buying World of Warcraft Gold - Read This Before You Make A Purchase!

DO NOT BUY WOW GOLD!

Did you know that Blizzard keeps track of every transaction processed in World of Warcraft? Did you know that purchasing gold for your World of Warcraft character is illegal and can have your account banned? Do not take this unnecessary risk.

If you do a quick search on the internet, you can read tons of horror stories of people losing their accounts and they only bought 100gold...

How do they know which gold is being purchased and which is just being traded? Thats actually quite simple if you think about it. Most of the gold that is being bought on the internet is from Chinese farmers. These are people who just sit and play World of Warcraft all day long as their job. So all of this gold is coming from the same people every day and then being transfered to other accounts. Blizzard has flagged these accounts as farmers but has not taken any action against them.

Why do they do this you ask? The reason they don't just ban these accounts is because those players could easily have a level 60 character by the end of the week again and start the process all over again. Instead they want to take it to the consumer level and punish all of the buyers for violating the TOS.

If enough people are having their accounts banned, then soon people will realize that they can no longer purchase gold for their character. Instead they are going to have to play the game just like everyone else.

Fortunately, there are easier ways to earn gold then just completing quests and farming. If you visit WoWGoldEZ you can view the most recent and up to date methods on earning countless amounts of gold.

So stop putting your account at risk and save your hard earned money. Visit WoWGoldEZ today and begin playing the game in a totally different way.

Discover How You Can Download XBOX 360 Games Right From Your Home Computer

This article is going to show you the options you have to download Xbox 360 games. The xbox is one of the most successful game systems to have ever hit the market and being able to download xbox games is one of our favorite features.

We seem to get asked quite often about where you can download xbox 360 games. It's a good question because it has the potential to save you a good amount of money - we decided to put together a quick article to answer this question.

Well let's get right to it! Here are the two options you have to download xbox 360 games:

Option Number One - XBOX 360 Downloads

The first choice that many will try out is to look for websites that offer "free xbox 360 downloads". There's a few of these sites out there that advertise this, but it's important you know a couple of things before you use them.

The first thing to keep in mind is that these websites have a bad reputation when it comes to distributing viruses and spyware. There have even been a few of these sites that have been shut down for this very reason. Unfortunately, every time you download a file you just can't be sure of what you are actually getting.

Since these websites aren't making any money, there isn't any money that is being reinvested back into the websites. Because of this the download speeds are extremely slow and unfortunately many of the files that you download are "corrupt" which means that they won't even work once you try to use them.

Obviously we aren't going to recommend this option. Since you run the risk of infecting your computer and you can waste a lot of your time, we suggest you stay away from these sites.

Your Second Option - XBOX 360 Game Downloads

When people saw that there was a demand for xbox 360 downloads, a few ambitious entrepreneurs decided to start websites that specialize in xbox downloads. There are now websites that offer all sorts of downloads for the xbox - games, movies, TV shows and more - all from one central website.

The reason these website were put together was so that gamers could find xbox 360 downloads without having to worry about infecting their computer or struggling with slow download speeds.

As you have probably guessed, there is a fee for using this type of website but it isn't expensive. It costs about $50 to join and this gets full access to as many downloads as you want. It's a one-time fee which gets you a lifetime membership.

If you go to the bottom of this article you can find a link we included where you can learn how to get a free trial at a couple of the most popular xbox 360 download websites.

The nice thing about these sites is that the businesses that run it make sure to keep their customers happy. They obviously want to make a profit so they keep the selection of games up-to-date, the download speeds are very fast and all the files are guaranteed to work.

If you are someone who likes to try new xbox games, then you will definately get your money's worth in this type of service. You can download new games anytime you want just by logging in.

As more gamers discover these types of websites I'm sure that more and more people will be using xbox 360 downloads for their systems. It's a much cheaper and more convenient way of finding new games for your xbox. Good luck!

The Game Tester

It's not easy to be a hardcore gamer. It's hard. Wouldn't it be easier if you had a job in the videogames business? Think about it: working for a software company, being able to play games during office hours, with people who share your passion. Free games, industry parties, lots of fun and good money.

Well, think again; working in the PC Games business is nothing like that. Chances are you'll end up dealing with people who just care about the financial success of the company, with marketing executives who don't give adamn whether the game is good or not because "We'll put two-million bucks behind it and it'll sell like donuts", with programmers who cannot understand why an arcade-style racing game cannot have the intricacies of a complex simulator. Still, you'll get some free games plus a decent salary.Still interested? Good.

The easiest way to get a chance to work in the videogames industry is to start as a game tester. Mind you - the job is actually tougher and less exciting than you think. While it is true that you'll spend most of your day playing games, you must bear in mind that this means testing to death the same game again and again, since the earliest days of development until it's finished, and this can get really boring.

The game tester starts working as soon as either the graphic engine or some of the AI routines are ready (and even earlier in some occasions: sometimes testers have to check the game design documents in order to make sure that there aren't weaknesses in the game structure.) It means checking the graphics and the control system or testing the AI routines, moving around coloured dots (it's often the case with sports games) or extremely unappealing chunks of graphics around the screen to check how the code reacts.

Reporting bugs is not an easy or exciting task either. You need to assess the exact circumstances (if any) of a bug taking place and its consequences on the game. More often than not this means playing the same bit of the game again and again and again until you are able to repeat the same bug whenever you want to (or better: whenever the programmers ask you to) or until you're sure that it was a one-off bug, something which happens in situations which cannot be repeated.

If you don't like PCs, you'll probably find an absolute nightmare having to cope with all the compatibility issues (does the game work fine with all the graphic accelerator cards? And what about the sound cards? And the joypads/joysticks?) but you'll get used to it in a matter of weeks. Other downsides of the job is that office hours can range from your usual 9-5 to a very stressful round-the-clock when you're under deadlines and you don't have any guarantee that you'll be mentioned in the credits unless you're one of the lead testers. (Let's face it; you want your friends to know that YOU were part of the team who made that brilliant game, don't you?) Put in the frustration coming from dealing with programmers and/or artists who don't know what does make a good game (the industry has many such people...) and you'll get an even worse picture of the job.

Being a game tester is not all that bad, though. It's the perfect way to get into the biz for many different reasons: the first one and more obvious being that you'll be constantly in touch with both the programmers and artists. In a few weeks' time you'll understand problems concerning polygons (polys, for friends...), frame-rate and its relationships with the responsiveness and precision of the control system, how to address RAM-related problems and much, much more. Hold on - let me make myself clear: you will NOT become a programmer but you will understand which compromises you must have in the game in order to have it work in its best possible form, given the capabilities of the system it is working on and the skills and talents of the developers.

Another obvious plus of the job is the money. In Europe, an internal tester is usually paid somewhere between US$15,000 to US$23,000, assuming he's employed full-time. However, some companies have part-time testing jobs, so that you don't have to leave school to be a tester.

The real highlight of being a game tester is that in many occasions you'll be required to play an active role in the making of the game: rather than limiting your task to just testing existing code, sometimes testers are asked to suggest alternative solutions to problems in either playability or game structure. It often happens that, during the development stages, the game feels and plays differently from what it should according to the game design document. It could be the control system which is too complex, the physics model, the AI or any other element of the game which doesn't work as well as it should. The testers' main task is to flag any problems arising but they are often asked to give their precious input in order to improve the game.

It sometimes happens that the most critic and capable testers move onto design positions, which is a much more rewarding (both in terms of financial success and self-fulfilment) job with many more responsabilities. Another way to climb the ranks of the company is to become Quality Assurance Manager, supervising and directing the work of several testers for one or more titles. Therefore, starting as a game tester can take you to higher floors while making many interesting contacts in the industry. The perfect game tester can express himself quite well in both written and oral form, knows how to work in a team and know games inside out - both new and classic titles. Needless to say, to do this you must play a lot: explore all the possibilities of a title, do things the developers couldn't think you would do (such as killing a friendly character, throwing away a useful item, going out of the track in a racing game or standing in particular areas where you're not supposed to stay) and see what happens. Be curious while playing, and be critic.

If you have what it takes ring the bell; this industry needs you. Don't let the first negative replies write the word END to your career in this industry. Keep trying until a door opens, then put your foot in. Start writing your cover letter now (keep it short, nobody likes lengthy cover letters)) and be ready for the interview. Sooner or later you'll have your chance, so don't waste it.

How to Make the Most of the NCAA Stadium Sounds

NCAA Football 09 is a new game released by EA sports for the new generation of consoles. It has tons of new features including the "Custom Stadium Sounds" feature. It's a whole new level of audio sounds. The great thing about it is that you choose what to play. There are over 20 scenarios you could put your chosen audio files in, including tackles, sacks, and of course touchdowns.

With this whole new feature you could be creative, since it's not only limited to music, you could also add sound effects and famous lines you could download off the internet. This gives you a chance to be creative. And not only do you play the game; you could also give it an edge and affect the whole game.

For the purists out there, you could download all the anthems that the band of your favorite team plays. You could use your console to rip them and use them in the game. This will give you the feel of being part of the team itself. For example, you make a touchdown; the anthem you chose for the touchdown event will play automatically and feel what it's like in an actual game when your team scores.

You could also rip your favorite audio tracks, like your favorite song. Or you could make your playlist the playlist in the game itself. For example, you hit two touchdowns in a row. You will here your favorite rock band play and you could rock out with them. This is a great way to boost the excitement.

Another thing you could do is download famous Hollywood lines and use them. Funny lines, drama lines, action lines are very fun to use. What's better than hearing a funny line whenever you tackle your opponent's quarterback? Of hearing a line that will make your opponents cry when their on the brink of losing.

You could even record your own music or yourself and talk smack to your friend's team in the game. This will make your opponent lose his/her confidence in the game. It's a lot of fun doing this cause you here yourself from the speakers of your own television screen badmouthing your friend. Of course don't be too explicit with your words as it may offend your friend. Keep it all fun.

Of course it doesn't end here. There is no limit on what sounds you could use. You could use sound effects such as a stampede or even the sound of a train. You could use the sound of a pack of wolves coming when your team is making its entrance. Of even a booing crowd when you lose the game. All you have to do is be creative.

NCAA Football 09's feature which is "Custom Stadium Sounds" is a great new feature to add more user generated content. You, the user could get your creative juices flowing and give your game an edge. So give NCAA Football 09 a try, and get hooked to it.

Oiling the Cogs - Gaming Peripherals Play the Unsung Heroes

Mind-blowing graphics and complex storylines can have gamers captivated for hours at their consoles. Keeping these bad boys running at full hilt is vital, and there are peripherals that do the trick. Whether it's cooling down the system or charging up the controllers, video game peripherals play an important role for the diehard gamer. video game accessories like batteries, headsets, chargers are a big business now-a-days.

Gaming peripherals are not eye candy - a gaming storage rack holds over twenty game discs, keeping them handy, arranged and safe. Disc skins are the surest way of protecting DVD, HD Blu-Ray, video game and music discs from scratches and moisture. If disc safety is a concern, then protection for the gaming console is essential. The air cooling system will keep a console purring after hours of gaming, while a cool bling kit can add that style quotient to any console, making it as pimped out as the gamer.

A constant fear for any handheld gamer is running out of battery juice. There are loads of options like the Xbox 360 batteries, the Nintendo DS batteries and GameBoy Advance chargers. The coolest would have to be the Charger Grip for the PSP which adds 10 hours of extra playing time and feels like a natural extension to the console. On the road, a car adapter for charging is a great option when taking long trips. Wireless controllers for the heavyweights, the Xbox 360, the PlayStation 3 and the Wii, eventually need a recharge and a charging dock or station coupled with a power kit is the only way to go.

Keeping a mean gaming machine clean and dust-free is no joking matter. A designer cover can add a personalized touch to a video game console, with the added benefit of safety if ever it's to be lugged around. If the vanilla color scheme seems uninteresting, video game coversPS3 skins, Xbox 360 covers and Wii skins add a dash of style, color and fun. Console organizers and carry cases are essential if the gaming console is to be transported safely.

Gaming can be intense and difficult at times, with baffling levels of strategy and multitudes of monsters ready to do battle. A cheat system allows the gamer to be in control at the toughest of times. Dev kits, as these systems like the Xbox 360 cheat system, are sometimes called, will allow the gamer to control all aspects of the game.

Games That Provoke Thought

Some games are designed as a way to do away with some extra free time, while others are created to make you think. The niche for brainy games is growing constantly, and here are some fresh additions for this year.

MoonTycoon (PartyTop)

In MoonTycoon you have to rocket to the moon and beyond to build and manage your personal 3D lunar colony. The game lets you control all aspects of colony life - from building colonies and creating industries, to trading with Earth and alien races - everything is in your hands. In MoonTycoon, your role as the colony's leader is multifaceted. For example, you must build structures, maintain balance among use of water, energy, and power; keep your citizens happy; and ensure sufficient cash flow. No easy task. But if you master MoonTycoon, you'll take mankind to the final frontier by colonizing the Moon, solving the Earth's energy crisis, and boldly going beyond the stars to befriend or conquer aliens, while unlocking the mysteries of the universe.

AntWar (Anarchy Ent.)

AntWar is not your serious tycoon game. It takes on a humorous look at how fast ants always seem to multiple and feel like they are taking over. There is no tutorial, but AntWar is easily learned, which makes it a great choice for younger trategy/tycoon fans. This of course doesn't mean that adults won't enjoy it! I sure did. An addictive game that will have you striving for just 10,000 more ants to get to the next level. Before you know it, it'll be midnight and your ants will only just be starting to take over the world. In AntWar you're the leader of a tiny colony of ants, with a very simple victory condition: Grow your colony from humble origins to a grand total of one billion ants. AntWar won't be easy, as your colony will be beset by rival ants, other insects, and a variety of enemies who will either kill your ants, destroy parts of your colony, or destroy your food stocks.

Enigmo (MumboJumbo)

Enigmo is a 3D puzzle game where you move various streams of flowing liquid so that the droplets get to their destination. Liquids (water, oil, and lava) fall from "droppers" and will bounce around the walls of a mechanism. You move and rotate into position various types of bumpers, sliders, accelerators, and sponges in order to divert the flow of the falling droplets. The faster you complete each level, the more bonus you will receive.

Be forewarned: Enigmo gets hard, and it gets hard fast. Admittedly, my masochism streak is fairly low, as is my pain tolerance, but I was desperately gasping for help after about level 9 or 10 - out of 50. If you're not one who enjoys a strong mental workout, you might want to let Enigmo go.
