Wave Solitaire - A Guide To Playing

Do you like golf solitaire or corona solitaire?

If so, then you may like to check out wave solitaire, which combines elements of both games...
The aim of wave solitaire is to build 4 ascending suit sequences to the foundation stacks.

The game starts with 10 manoeuvre stacks, 4 foundation stacks, a talon, and a discard pile.

The cards in the manoeuvre zone are dealt out in a wave pattern, with 2 cards in the first stack, 5 in the next, then 2 again, etc. So the stacks are arranged like this...

2 5 2 5 2

5 2 5 2 5

Cards are moved to the manoeuvre zone as long as they are the same suit, and one less in rank(eg a 9 of diamonds can move onto a 10 of diamonds). This is similar to the rule used in corona solitaire.
A card can be moved from the talon to the discard pile at any time. All cards in the discard pile are visible, but only the top card can be played.

Cards can be moved to the discard pile regardless of suit, as long as they are 1 less or 1 more than the current card. This is similar to the rule used in golf solitaire.
When a manoeuvre column is empty, a card should be automatically moved from the discard pile. If the discard pile is empty, then a card is moved straight from the stock to fill the empty column.

The most important thing in regards to winning wave solitaire, is to look for any inversions. For example, suppose when the game is initially dealt, that one of the stacks looks like this:

  • 5 of Diamonds.
  • 6 of Diamonds.

This is an inversion. The 5 is needed to remove the 6, but the 5 can't be reached because the 6 is in the way. The game cannot be finished without moving the 6 first. To do this, the 6 must be moved to the discard pile at some time when a 5 or an 7 is on top.
If you take notice of all inversions like this at the start of the game, and then work your way through them as you play, then you should have no problem winning wave solitaire.

F-Zero - Nintendo's Best But Least Known Series

F-Zero is one of Nintendo's most prominent series. Its games are on nearly every Nintendo console known. The SNES, N64, GBA, Nintendo DS all have been graced with the appearance of an F-Zero game. However, F-Zero is one of the most underrated and ignored game series on the Nintendo. F-Zero is a futuristic racing series that takes place in the late 21st century.

Each race consists of around 30 racers each competing for the goal. However, unlike most racing games, F-Zero does not have any items or special features. It is just plain racing. High speeds of over 2000 miles per hour are not common and killing many racers to get ahead is the norm. In this series, racers compete in a variety of courses such as Port Town, Big Blue, Mute City, White Land and Red Canyon. The main character in the series is Captain Falcon.

He is a bounty hunter who rides the fast and powerful Blue Falcon. However, the series has quite a story line such as defeating evil enemies such as the Black Shadow, Zoda and Blood Falcon. In F-Zero GX a story mode was added that allowed gamers to compete in a variety of courses with intended goals. Also, in F-Zero GX, gamers can build and optimize cars with custom parts that can be bought at a shot. With all of these features, one would have to ask why this series is so underrated and little known. This answer to me is still a mystery. It is a great series and remains as one of Nintendo's best series.

Ninja Gaiden 2 Review - Xbox 360

Being a fan of the original Ninja Gaiden series, you could have imagined my excitement when NG was released for the Xbox. The game was non stop action and a difficulty level great enough to challenge even us hardcore gamers.

The main story in the game is that a woman representing the CIA is looking for Ryu, and in doing so, she gets captured in the process. After saving her, you find out that the enemies are after the demon statue that's hidden away in the Hayabusa Village. The statue has the power to awaken greater fiends that are slumbering throughout the world. This game is a supposed prequel or takes place before the events in Ninja Gaiden 1 for the NES.

Ninja Gaiden 2 follows the tradition of "No way this game is that hard" difficulty. The enemies in the game have been given a higher difficulty level and they always attack you in groups greater than 3. On screen, I have encountered at least 8 active enemies thirsting for my blood and didn't encounter any slow down.

The new feature of being able to chop off your enemies limbs is a great new addition. It makes things a little more interesting because some enemies become more dangerous when their trying to kill you with one arm. Example, in the first couple of levels there will be an enemy that unless you finish them off will kamikaze himself and take a huge amount of health from you. Let's not forget to mention that the level of gore in the game is pretty high.

Speaking of finishing enemies off, the new obliteration moves are not only bloody, but extremely useful. These moves can be done when an enemy is hopping around on one leg. There are also new moves, new ninpo and new weapons. Just to name a few, a sickle with a weight at the end, Tonfa's and my favorite, claws.

Wall running and other jumping puzzles are still pretty much the same. There really isn't any new moves that Ryu has acquired. Guess he just trained in the ancient art of I'm going to chop your head off for looking at me the wrong way.

To end it all, I would give this game a 8.9 which is a really good score. So, whether your a fan of the series or your looking for a hella good Hack and Slash, this game should be one you add to your collection.

Xbox 360 3 Red Lights - Read This For More Info On An Xbox 360 3 Red Lights Fix

I have written this article to provide people with more information about the Xbox 360 3 Red Lights Error and provide you with some reasons as to why this error occurs.

Firstly there has been loads of these Xbox 360 3 Red Lights Errors and some sources even claim that 3-5% of 360's will encounter this error! You can tell if you have the Xbox 360 3 Red Lights error by the lights flashing on the Xbox when you start up the system.

There are also different combinations of red lights and they all mean different things, but if you are lucky enough to have the Xbox 360 3 Red Lights it means General Hardware Error!

So in other words it is time to send the Xbox 360 in for repair but before you do here is a couple of reasons that the Xbox 360 3 Red Lights error occurs.

The first reason could be due to overheating and if you keep your Xbox 360 in a display cabinet with the door shut this is not a good idea as the system can get no air and it could lead to the Xbox 360 3 Red Lights error or damage to the machine.

Another reason speculated could be down to the power brick with the Xbox 360 and not the core system itself. Make sure you keep the power brick up off the floor as this is meant to help increase airflow to the machine as well.

Unfortunately the above are just speculations but they are definitely worth a go before you send in your system for repair.

I have also seen another reason for this happening and it seems most plausible, it is something to do with the soldering joints coming loose on the motherboard and over heating and thus causing the Xbox 360 3 Red Lights.

I hope this article has helped show you what may cause the Xbox 360 3 Red Lights and if the above tips fail then you could send in the machine for repair!
