Metaboli Games - I Download Full Games Like Frontlines and You Can, Too!

I love PC games, on many occasions I've been naughty and spent a few too many hours on Civilization 4 then ended up a mess for work the next day! But being so passionate about gaming it's a shame games can cost so much, newly released titles hit the shelves sometimes at 40-$70 per game these days. It's crazy! You have to pay these prices and you don't even know if you will honestly like the game until you buy it!

How can I download full games legally? Well... in all honesty it's actually very very easy, the only problem is many people don't actually know about it or believe they can't trust it, it sounds too good to be true but it's actually the safest, easiest and cheapest way to buy games. What you do is use a Games on Demand service like Metaboli Gamesand Metaboli Download.

I pay 12 per month for 268 games with Metaboli Games, when I get bored with one game I just download another, simple. What? Did you think I paid retail price for Civilisation 4? Hell no! I haven't bought a PC game in over a year now.

A different kind of learning curve...

It wasn't until January last year that I realised I had been wasting my money on retail games and wasting my time downloading pirate games(don't even get me started on that!). I just wanted to download some proper games legally, without having to pay through the nose or risk my computer's security, who doesn't?

After some googling I finally found what I was looking for, a website where you can download full games legally for a monthly subscription, it is the Metaboli download games service. My first reaction was "Hell no!". I'm not paying any subscription for games. I've never paid a subscription for anything before so I'm not going to start now - it all just seemed too good to be true.

At the time they offered around 205 games(now 268, Metaboli Download adds 1-3 Games per week) for 12 or a lesser amount for 6. The most surprising thing was the amount of popular games that were listed. Games like Company of Heroes, Warhammer, Rise of Nations, F.E.A.R - all kinds of popular games. It made me even more curious because I couldn't figure out exactly how you could download these type of games for 12 per month.

Well to cut a longer story short, I checked out the details of the site, the Contact/About Us, the date the website was registered, I checked their forums and other forums to see what people have been saying about the service and it all checked out, it seemed completely legit. The most amazing and exciting part is that it took 2 minutes to register, input my card details and as soon as id done that I could download full Metaboli games like Rainbow Six: Vegas. It was a shock really, to think I now have access to all the Metaboli games I want for less than the price of a single off-the-shelf- game. Too good to be true? Apparently not! There are 1-3 games are added every Thursday, sometimes the games are not as great, other times they are amazing, Frontlines/Turok (19th June 2008) being the new additions.

After that the rest is history, I've not turned back, now even my mother is addicted to the games, Luxor is the new addition she craves. Oh that's one thing I forgot to mention, there's also a list of family type games for you to play too, this is what my mother likes to play, games like Huntsville and others. It's worth mentioning because while I don't play them my mum is always expiring the free trials on bigfishgames because they are too expensive. So she was happy to find she could also enjoy the subscription with Metaboli games - keeps her happy and out of my hair for a few hours.

There's other stuff to talk about, like exactly how it works but at the end of the day it's really simple, you just pay and get the games but I'll let you find that out for yourself.

Is It Ok To Purchase Advanced World Of Warcraft Characters Online?

The massive fantasy universe of World of Warcraft offers you endless hours of entertainment, sucking you in from the very beginning and causing you to come back again and again to enjoy this fantastically original game. With 8.5 million subscribers around the world, WoW (World of Warcraft) is becoming increasingly popular.

Most people, when they start, are totally blown away by the sheer potential of the game. There is so much to do and enjoy, that it can be a little overwhelming at first. Especially since Blizzard (the developers) are constantly adding new features and upgrades.

Not only that, but it can also take some time to build your chosen character up to a considerable level where you can enjoy the more interesting adventures, and also enjoy some power and wealth. Once you learn how to play the game, you could feel as if you would be keen to also jump into a veteran account and enjoy the game at a higher level.

Well, you can do just that, by purchasing advanced characters and accounts online. All you need to do is research what kind of character you would like : do you prefer to work alone? Or a team? What is your playing style? Do you prefer magic, or bashing and beating your way through? Character races, factions, crafts and trades will all contribute to these factors. So, some research before you purchase is really recommended. Especially if you're a beginner, it's important that you make sure you're making a purchase you're going to enjoy!

If you're looking at doing this, there are a few things you should take into account about the retailer you're thinking of purchasing from. Firstly, are they reputable? If not, move on. You're only going to find yourself disappointed through them. Secondly, do they have a helpline? This is actually very important. Occasionally when you purchase advanced characters some glitches can occur with accounts etc. If the retailer you're purchasing from has no help desk or any form of human on the other side, you're bound to be disappointed at some stage.

Thirdly, guarantees. If these glitches occur, even later, you need to know that you're guaranteed to get what you want. What also occasionally happens is that after a character is sold, the original account holder might want it back at a later stage. Without some guarantees, this can turn into a very unhappy situation. The retailer you're purchasing from must be able to provide guarantees to prevent this sort of thing becoming a problem.

So, if you're thinking of purchasing a veteran character and jumping right into the world of Averoth with your new masses of power, wealth and skill; also getting to enjoy the more higher, exciting and glamorous adventures, just make sure you're purchasing from a reputable account retailer who is able to match all of the above. Otherwise, you could be disappointed. It's time to increase your fun levels in World of Warcraft (yes, it can get even more fun) and this is a sure-fire way to do just that!

Cooper, one of the oldest voters for the nation's first black president, had been tipped off by the Obama campaign that she would be mentioned in his acceptance speech. Toward the end, she got her moment.

The Political Implications of Computer Games

There has been a great deal of argument over the years as to whether computer games and video games have any meaning whatsoever, or whether they are a mindless form of entertainment. Comments and arguments are frequently made on both sides in support of their own arguments and opinions, and of course, demonstrating how the opposing group's arguments are untrue. Those opposed to computer games argue that computer games are mostly concerned with violence, and that simply spending hours each day destroying and killing anything that moves, and most things that don't, is not only meaningless, but more likely to encourage aggression and violence in the real world. With the increases and advances in graphical realism made by possible with today's fast computer processing, the argument against computer games and video games continues with the suggestion that so much of this meaningless violence and aggression is realistic that it may de-sensitize the players, so that in the real world they have less of a resistance to violence should it occur.

The argument against this is that although video games years ago were fairly meaningless, and that the idea was very simply to destroy anything which moved, the concept of video gaming has developed so much that it is no longer a passive activity in which players become mindless zombies learning to attack anything they see. Video games today have far more complex storylines and background context in to which the characters are placed. It is no longer a clear cut divide between the 'good' side and the 'bad side', and players may find that they are in situations in which no easy decision can be made as to who is good and who isn't. In this situation, the player needs to make a number of moral judgements, considering the ramifications of any action they take.

Often in video games today players have a choice of which faction, group or race they play, and it becomes easier to identify with the various factions within a game, and the players learn to see things from more than just one aside. Very often there are political, religious or other social divide which separates characters within a storyline, and by investigating scenarios more fully, carrying out research, talking to people and exploring the situation as fully as possible, only then can layers start to untangle the situation and make decisions as to what they should do.

Again, unlike older games, there is often no right answer or correct course of action, simply alternative consequences to any action that a player does decide to take. By killing one person and helping another, the social and political ramifications will spread wide and far, and the true consequences may not be realised until much farther down the line. This increase in focus on such deep matters makes modern gaming a world away from anything mindless, and it can be argued that modern video games may actually have a role to play in helping people to understand the wider story of a real world situation.

General Motors - "Cruzing" Along With New Technology

General Motors is one of the world leaders in hybrid car technology, but that should come as no shock to anybody. After all, GM's Research and Development was the world's very first automotive research center, founded in the early '20's by Charles F. Kettering. Located in Warren, Michigan, GM's Research and Development teams work on their new technologies and innovations in 6 laboratories, and 6 science offices. Researchers work with teams from a dozen countries, countless universities and government groups to provide GM with the edge in new automotive technology.

Gm has made great strides in the fuel cell car technology for starters: researchers have lessened the likelihood of cold weather freeze up in the hydrogen fuel cell based "Hy-wire" This vehicle does not have much of the traditional car parts, such as an internal combustion engine, instrument panel, or pedals, but it does have power supplied by its hydrogen based fuel cell. GM also has developed, AUTOnomy, a concept vehicle that is another hydrogen fuel cell car.

General Motors likes to try to stay competitive, and one of the way they stay one step ahead of their competition is with solid research and development- you cannot sell a vehicles unless you are giving the people what they want. The sales of the Chevy Cobalt is up by 16%, and GM is hoping to keep that hot streak going when they reveal their newest addition, the Chevy Cruze at the Paris Motor Show in a few weeks. The Cruze will be a global compact car and will be built in a GM facility in Ohio. The Cruze will be marketed as another of GM's fuel efficient cars, close to the Cobalt's 33 miles per gallon highway selling point. General Motors is investing the astounding figure of $500 million in the development and debut of this new line of cars.

The company has also announced that it is currently working with the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) to make the introduction of more electric cars faster and more feasible. It is exciting news that the cars may become more widely available considering the fact that the price to run one is roughly 1/5 the cost of driving a gasoline powered vehicle. GM has received a grant from the United States Dept. of Energy to create a plug in "demo" program. There is also work on an extended range electric vehicle due to be in car showrooms by sometime in late 2010.

Along with all of the research to reduce dependence of non renewable fuel sources, GM has also worked on other considerations as well. Onstar by GM was honored with an award in June 2008, in Detroit. There are currently no less than 6 GM models that feature Onstar as a standard feature, with talk of adding it to still others.
